It retains all the glycerin that is part of the natural saponification process. This glycerin is taken out by many commercial manufacturers to sell as a separate product. From this I am growing my business to include soaps for people with various sensitivities but also soap for those who wish for nothing but the very best of soaps with the best essential oils, fragrances and colours. Each soap is carefully wrapped & packed. As these soaps are handcut, they may vary in size and weight, usually ranging from 4 ounces or more each. I work a lot with milk soaps including buttermilk, goat's milk, coconut milk, and whole milk Specialty oils include Hemp Seed Oil, Avocado Oil, Jojoba, etc. Favorite "add-in's" include oatmeal, wheat bran, honey, almond meal, apricot kernel meal, various herbs and dried botanicals Butters used often in my formulas include cocoa butter, mango butter, shea butter, avocado butter, aloe butter, almond butter, etc. I have been experimenting with infusing my base oils with herbs such as calendula and chamomile I have a varied selection of quality fragrance oils and essential oils I work strictly with the sodium hydroxide soaps. Two of my most popular soaps to date, that I will be making quite frequently, are my Goat's Milk Patchouli soap (made with and without Oatmeal) and my Patchouli Leaf soap made with hemp seed oil. Ours is a rich and creamy milk based soap made from fresh goat's milk. Our milk is obtained daily from our own, small goat herd. What makes this soap especially gentle and mild is our ability to run the milk through a separator. It is nearly impossible to obtain the cream otherwise because goat's milk is naturally homogenized. I make small batches in 8 lb and 10
lbs. Some batches are superfatted with avocado. My favorite scents are a clary sage combination, and of course lavender. I wrap them in tissue paper, tie with raffia, and attach seashells from Bahia de Los
Angeles, Baja California. The cost averages $4.00 for a 4 to 5 oz bar.
